Rail Corridor Protection Services Pty Ltd (RCPS) was founded in 2004 by Barry Kuhn as a company that contracts fully qualified personnel providing worksite protection, maintenance and construction services in the rail corridor. Geographically, it offers its services to the state of New South Wales.
The company plans to develop into a leading provider for all rail maintenance and construction services in the state. This means always having the best and most efficient resources, processes and people. To achieve this, RCPS will invest in ways that will pay off in competitive advantages for its customers, such as structural plan review, including pre-job conferencing upon request, equipment, quality assurance and OH&S reviews on all procedures. The company has developed a client evaluation form to gather feedback from our clients. The ultimate goal is to meet these needs and better the company.
One of the major concerns within the rail industry is the health and safety of its employees and the general public. RCPS has made safety its number one priority; our employees and our customers expect to be safe on the job. The company has recognized the need to keep taking steps to develop a comprehensive infrastructure designed to make us not just a company with a safety policy, but a "safe company."
RCPS has been providing Worksite Protection Officers throughout NSW, including Metropolitan areas for both Railcorp and ARTC corridors.
Recently we have added points installation into our range of work. Our team has experience in the installation of "Vossler Cogifer" type machines as well as Westinghouse 84M and M3a.
RCPS's company director and founder Barry Kuhn has over 25 years experience working in the rail industry. Barry has spent the majority of his time on the railway involved in mechanical signaling having left through voluntary redundancy in 1997 as Signal Ganger "Tamworth." This was preceded by appointment as Signal Ganger "Granville" and before that Signal Ganger "Country Construction."
The company has 15 employees all experienced and qualified in worksite protection.
